Have you ever noticed how peoples ears prick up when they hear "INTERNET"
“Excuse me, did you say you have an ‘INTERNET BUSINESS’?”
In my everyday activities I can't help but notice what a buzzword INTERNET is. It seems anyone who runs a successful Internet Business is held in some awe by the mere mortals who perhaps would like to break into marketing on the Internet but really don't know where to start. This type of reaction I get from people is so common place, that it makes me wonder just how many people would really like to learn how to break into this often perplexing and frustrating field of building a home business using a combination of the power of the Internet, Network Marketing and the latest growth industry CERTIFIED ORGANICS.
I have spent many years working the old networking paradigm, you know what I mean... tell all your friends and relatives about this fantastic business opportunity and invite them along to a meeting. Ask everyone you know until you run out of people to invite to meetings, then you start working on people within 3 feet of you, the "3 foot rule". You start to realise it isn't working too well when people you know start looking out for you and cross the street or disappear into the nearest doorway as you approach. I'm sure many network marketers can relate to these experiences.
Several years ago I realised that the old methods were becoming more and more difficult for the average person to find success with. In fact they were becoming downright difficult. There had to be a better way! It was about then I started to realise what was happening with the Internet and Networking especially in the US. It seemed to good to be true! Virtually overnight, well over a few months anyway, networking entrepreneurs who had latched onto this powerful new medium, "The Internet" were in the throes of developing fortunes. This is especially true in a fast growing field like the Certified Organic Industry
I have spent countless hours researching the Internet, looking for a way to break into this difficult field of Internet Marketing whilst still retaining the personable approach of Networking. However I must admit it is not easy to do. We are far too late to be amongst the "First Movers" as far as Internet Marketing is concerned. The spammers who send out to data bases of millions have all but destroyed any credibility you may be able to engender by email!
All is not lost however. I have a confession to make! Since I have taken my Certified Organic business online - prospecting for people to join me in this marvellous opportunity has become a "a breeze" compared to the slog it used to be!
In any company, just mention the words "Internet" or "Internet Marketing" and heads will turn and interest is generated immediately. Add to it the words "Certified Organic" online business and you will definitely have attention. It seems, you have a captive audience every time you do. Think how big this audience is if you can reach them through the very medium that sparks the interest in the first place. THE INTERNET! Perhaps you may be getting some new ideas on how to make a difficult Network Business relatively easy to make grow and make it far more attractive to many more people.
By going one step further and actually learning how to drive a business forward online will open so many new doors to you, you will be astounded at the growth you can achieve. By letting your prospects see that you are making the commitment to building an online duplicable business, then you will markedly, in fact dramatically, increase your effectiveness at recruiting people into your Certified Organic business programme.
Network Marketing Online… A New Paradigm!
Network Marketing on the Internet WORKS! No ifs or buts… period. I no longer have any need for any of the "old methods". Now I'm not saying the old network methods don't work. If you have the self determination and you don't mind speaking at public gatherings and doing an enormous amount of work - then of course they work. However, those stuffed shirt “naysayers” that say the only way to build a network is to do this can keep their hotel meetings and Party Plans! All the travelling and hotel bills! Paying for this paying for that! I'm building my business in cyberspace and it is duplicable! And YES it is duplicable for YOU TOO! You do need to know what you are doing however. The bottom line is that people are building duplicable success systems online for Network Marketing. It still takes a lot of work though and if you aren't up for the work then you you will have limited success.

This is not the USA. Although we do have a large part of our business in the US and Canada and Australia too (you could too)... this system has been developed here for the UK market and it works for British people!
Unfortunately, most people still have no idea what they’re doing when it comes to the Internet. For most Independent Distributors from all network companies, the Internet is either completely over their heads or they’ve tried a few ineffective techniques and decided it doesn’t work. Unfortunately for most UK networkers everything seems to stem from the States. You go to fill in a form online and it has dollars instead of pounds. A zip code instead of a post code. Little things I know, but I can tell you now, it puts a lot of people here in the UK off completely when they start to look into some of these programmes.
My aim is to help you learn what IS working for Network Marketers online, primarily in the UK and to help you start planning your Certified Organic Internet Networking Programme. Before I can teach you about the concepts that work, we need to clear up a few of the misconceptions associated with Internet Marketing and Networking Online. To be truly effective at Online Marketing you need to get these common myths clarified and disposed of.
#1 – Build a "You Beaut" professional website and the business will pour in!
I used to suffer with this delusion too in the early days. It is commonly referred to as the "Field of Dreams Syndrome" by the experienced online marketers and trainers. Most newcomers to the web have this incredible belief that once you have a graphic rich, classy looking site built by some webmaster or "expert" you may have paid several thousand pounds to and it is placed on the Internet, customers wanting to buy product or people wishing to join your business, will flock in from all over the world to look at your site.
WRONG!!!
It just doesn't happen like that! Have you any idea how big cyberspace really is? Your website will be one of perhaps 500 million plus websites with perhaps a trillion pages of information on everything from networking to making an atom bomb! It would be easier to find a needle in a haystack the size of the Millennium Dome, than find your site believe me!
Here’s a better analogy. Putting a Network Marketing website on the Internet is kind of like creating a retail sales and distribution centre in the middle the Sahara Desert. The business lease on your property might be a real bargain, but you’re not going to get any walk-in traffic, make any sales, or find any sales reps in the centre of the Sahara. That’s why there are so many web businesses offering FREE websites on the net. Just like in the real world, empty space in a wasteland can be incredibly cheap, especially if it’s in a place like the Sahara (Internet) where no one goes.
You’re competing with hundreds of millions of websites online. Generating Internet traffic to your website is the key to profits in your pocket. I would rather have a Fast Food Caravan in a lay by on the A1 than a MacDonald's in the centre of the Amazon jungle! It doesn't matter how flash or good your place of business is if it is never seen and no-one walks into it! What would be the point of that?
#2 – Publish your site or sign up for one of those self replicating smart looking affiliate sites and "they" will come!
The Internet really can be "Pie In The Sky" for people who think like this!
"Pie in the Sky Syndrome" is not unlike "Field of Dreams Syndrome".
Networking Distributors often think how nice it would be to have this smart website so they can sell all of their products online instead of personally retailing to their friends and family. They imagine how easy it will be to run ads on the Internet, generate visitors to their site, and let their high-tech website lead these visitors through the buying process. Is this a realistic scenario? Lets find out.
Lets say you have developed a website around your Network Marketing product and programme. Now put yourself in the shoes of one of your website visitors. How many times have you ever gone to a website and purchased £30 to £50 worth of product on your first visit? Rarely? Never? Why not?
Because you just didn’t have enough time to get enough information about the product or service to feel comfortable about making the purchase. Underneath perhaps you may remain sceptical of what you have read. Is it the truth or just a pack of lies. Does this mean you won’t buy? Certainly not, it just means you might not buy until you’ve had a few more visits or until you have some more interaction with the owner of the website or until you have checked out other websites. The online marketing gurus of the world, have perfected a system for pulling in contact information on site visitors so you can repeat your message to them time and again at no expense to you or them.
Now you may not realise it but you have just been through a similar system and you are what is called a "qualified lead". We could automatically plug you into what is called an autoresponder system and follow up to you with personally addressed emails over the coming weeks giving you more information about our business. However here in the UK we prefer not to do this. I far prefer a personal approach when it comes to contacting business opportunity seekers such as yourself and either follow up by phone or email or give you the option of contacting me or one of my team by phone or email.
The important thing from a networking point of view is that you are treated as a real person and not just another email address to send spam emails to. This is why I always advise distributors to use a combined approach. Use the Internet as far as contacting is concerned and of course the old tried and proven Networking approach of building rapport with people on the phone and/or by meeting with them.
